NOTE: You are not purchasing a Lexus ECU. You are purchasing a Repair & Return service for your Lexus ECU.

The process:

Send your ECU to us at the address provided with a note containing your contact information and order number so that we can correctly process your order. If your unit is in repairable condition, we will repair your ECU and ship it back out to you within 1-2 business days of arrival.

If for any reason your ECU is not repairable, we will refund your order and return it as-is. We charge a $35 checking fee if there is no repair.

***For ease of shipping, please do not include any detachable mounting tabs or brackets. All units must be shipped in their cases. Do not send us your keys.***

The overhaul approach we take will depend on the year model, as these DENSO-made units for Lexus and Toyota experience entirely different types of failures according to the year range. Early 1990s models are far more likely to need repairs due to the electrolytic capacitors leaking a corrosive fluid onto the board, while a post-2000 ECU will typically suffer from decaying of the metals in the aging SMDs, which will need replaced. The process is basically always going to be a combination of repairs to the copper traces that make up the map of the board and replacement parts addressing whatever damage and/or conditions are present in the ECU.

We often see these coming in for repair of hard shifting issues, knock sensor issues, misfires, no start/no communication, and electrolytic capacitor damage, among many other problems. We replace the parts that are responsible for these symptoms, restoring full function of the ECU, and further replace some of the components that have not failed yet as a preventive measure, to ensure that the ECU lives a long life.

An ECU sent in for repair will not need any programming upon installation, as none of the security or VIN coding related parts are changed.

Repair service includes 5 year warranty. Warranty is void if seals are broken.
